The Moustache Growing Charity Fundraiser  Moustache growing charity fundraiser? That's right!
Every November (herein known as Movember) hundreds of thousands of men around the world ignore the nags of their wives and girlfriends and give their best attempt at growing an awesome moustache.
It's about having fun, growing a moustache and raising much needed funds and awareness for men’s health – specifically prostate cancer. What many people don’t appreciate is that one man dies every hour of prostate cancer in the UK, more than 35,000 men will be diagnosed this year and that prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK.

The more that join us, the more we can “change the face of men’s health” through raising awareness and the money that will be raised. Let’s do this – register and grow a moustache as a Mo Bro, or sign on as a Mo Sista.
I am growing a moustache this year, I have decided to put down my razor (for my upper lip that is!) for one month and help raise awareness and funds for men’s health – specifically prostate cancer.

This is a fantastic charity and for me to be saying don't shave, it MUST be! Unfortunately it's too late to start for 2009, but it's not too late to donate! But if you can't do that, at least pay it forward and tell people about it. Maybe next year you can give Movember a try.
